Yesterday was the annual Derby Party at the Denver Botanic Gardens... what a great cause(http://www.seanloughfoundation.com) and gorgeous location (http://www.botanicgardens.org/). I purchased a simple, wide-brimmed straw hat (thanks, Target) and adorned it with ribbon (to match my shoes, naturally) and fresh buds including dahlias, parrot tulips, viburnum and anemones. I created a coordinating bout for Joe (complete with seersucker ribbon) and a few extras to hand out on-site... although chilly, a good time was had by all! The best hat, aside from mine of course, was Alice-in-Wonderland-inspired and worn by my festive pal Jess!
