Joe and I headed to the Botanic Gardens last night to see Toots and the Maytals. It was the perfect night for the outdoor concert series.. warm and dry and ideal for a picnic and dancing. I managed to wander away and get a few shots of some spectacular and unusual blooms. The top left is phlox and I did not note the particular variety but we'll call it candy cane... the 2nd is a spectacular peach garden rose that smelled incredible. The third is a gigantic fuzzy lily pad (again, I was enjoying wine and did not note variety).. and the last is a striking sunsplash zinnia.
