Outstanding in the Field

Morning!

Are you familiar with the term Foodie? If not, here is a definition with help from Wikipedia: foodies are amateurs who simply love food for consumption, study, preparation, and news.[1] Gourmets simply want to eat the best food, whereas foodies want to learn everything about food, both the best and the ordinary, and about the science, industry, and personalities surrounding food.[2] For this reason, foodies are sometimes viewed as obsessively interested in all things culinary.

If this rings familiarity... I wanted to share an upcoming event that we are attending: http://www.outstandinginthefield-reservations.com/?p=107. If you have not heard of Outstanding in the Field, this is a unique company that travels worldwide to create intimate, organic meals at various farms. Tickets just went on sale last night and they sell out FAST. As you can see, the table setting is typically unusual, interactive and in a gorgeous setting. The Colorado event is at Munson farms and features the chef from Frasca Food and Wine.

Tickets are pricey but I have heard only amazing things about the cuisine, wine and experience. I worked with Munson farms during my organic years and they have incredible produce (especially the corn).

This is sure to be an experience!
